Jim Stewart – Treasurer

Jim joins the Board as a representative from the Municipality of Brighton. He currently serves as the Treasurer. Originally from the Peterborough area, Jim was raised on a farm and graduated from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Business studies. Jim started his career in retail management and went on to be a branch manager for a financial services company in a number of communities across the province, including Whitby, Cobourg and Trenton. He went on to join joined TD Canada Trust, where he held a number of management positions including Personal Financial Advisor.

A past-president of the Kinsmen Club Jim has a strong commitment to his community and since retiring divides his time between community volunteer work and his love of curling and golfing. He is a member of the Brighton Curling Club and a tournament committee member at the Trenton Golf Club. Jim and his wife of 40 years, Sue have two grown daughter, Shannon and Erin and one grandchild.
