Representing Cramahe Township, Mandy Martin began serving the Northumberland CFDC Board of Directors in 2012.
Mandy is well known in the community with her involvement in the local newspapers starting at the Cobourg Sentinel-Star in 1969. She worked for Ontario Hydro for 9 years and also took up the position as an international travel journalist. In 1997 she returned to Northumberland Publishers and over the next 12 years was editor of the Colborne Chronicle until she helmed the Cobourg Daily Star and Port Hope Evening Guide. She retired as the Editorial Director of Northumberland Today.
Mandy has played a major role in the social development of the local community. She is the former Vice President of the Northumberland United Way, former Director of Northumberland Big Sisters and has served as a board member for Northumberland Children’s Aid.
