Rick Holmes – Director
Rick represents Hamilton Township on the CFDC Board of Directors. Rick graduated from CDCI East Collegiate in Cobourg and went on to attend Ryerson University in Architecture.
After working for a number of years in progressively responsible senior management positions for several companies, including Curtis Products in Cobourg and Steelcase in Toronto, Rick went on to establish his own contract interiors business, Holmes & Brakel. The company is family owned and operated and through its 5 offices across North America works with clients on a local, national, and international scale. An entrepreneur by nature, Rick has also established a number of other companies over the years and is the owner of Cobourg Creek Golf and The Mill Restaurant and Pub.
As an active member of the community, Rick been a member of the Cobourg Kinsmen, Ajax/Pickering Rotary Club, Durham College Board of Governors, the Ajax/Pickering Board of Trade and the Port Hope Rotary Club as well as on the Advisory Review Board of Durham College Interior Design Program.
When not working at one of his many enterprises Rick enjoys golf, antique and collector cars, and has a strong commitment to land management and conservation. Rick lives with his wife and three daughters lives on Dale Road in Hamilton Township.
