Mark Klintworth

Mark brings a background in developing projects involving innovation, research & development and commercialization to his role at Northumberland CFDC. Mark is a former entrepreneur who has worked at universities in Canada and the United States building partnerships with industry.

Mark started his career in the Advertising Industry in Toronto and moved to the media side of the business on the marketing team of The Sports Network developing corporate sponsorships and advertising sales. While at TSN Mark saw an unmet need in the marketplace and launched Sport Communications Group, a company working with television producers in Canada and ultimately with companies in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Since moving back to Northumberland County in 1996, Mark has worked in Corporate and Foundation Alliances at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in Oshawa and in Industry Partnerships at Queen’s University in Kingston. Between these two positions Mark was the Director of Corporate Relations at the University of Connecticut.

Mark has been active in the community coaching hockey and soccer in Cobourg and Port Hope. He was a member of both the Economic Advisory Committee & Parks, Recreation and Culture committees in Port Hope and a former member of the Northumberland Sunrise and Cobourg Rotary Clubs. He is currently on the Board of Lakefront Generation in Cobourg.
