Representing the Municipality of Brighton and serving as current Chairman on the Northumberland CFDC Board of Directors is Brian Todd.

Holding degrees in both Geography and Physical Education from Queen's University, Brian utilized his knowledge at Kingston Collegiate holding teaching positions for both disciplines.

Later, Brian became the head of the Geography Department at LaSalle Secondary School and the Vice Principal of Loyalist Collegiate in the city of Kingston three years later.

After completing his Master's Degree in Education Administration, Brian held a seat on the Ontario Secondary School Teacher's Federation Provincial Board of Directors. He then went on to become Principal of East Northumberland Secondary School and until his retirement in 1995, the Superintendent of Schools for the Northumberland Board of Education.

Brian, with his wife Gail and three children Sandra, Sarah and William, has become immensely involved in the community of Brighton and the County of Northumberland.

An avid golfer and curler, he has been President of the Barcovan Twilight Golf League, the Brighton Curling Club and remains both an Ontario Curling Association Curling Official and an active member of the Gore Mutual School Curling Executive. Brian is in his third year of service as vice-chair of the HKPR Board of Health and remains the current chair of the Brighton Health Services Centre, heading up its fundraising initiative that has raised $2.4 million dollars in the last five years. A current member of the Brighton Rotary Club and a past member of the Cobourg Police Services Board, Brian Todd remains an active and concerned citizen of Northumberland County, working tirelessly towards its economic and cultural progression.
