Representing the Town of Cobourg, Doug Pink has served on the Northumberland CFDC Board of Directors since 2002.
Throughout his term Doug has served as Chairman of the Board, as well as holding the seat of Past Chairman during consecutive terms of office. By joining the Bank of Montreal and earning incomparable experience in the banking and commerce fields, Doug completed a Commerce degree at McGill University and later entered the Canadian Banker's Institute through Sir William George University in Montreal. After completing the program, Doug worked in Montreal at qualifying himself for International Banking.
Working abroad, Doug served as Banking Manager in Lahr, Germany while becoming an honorary member of Canada's 439th Squardron, 1st Wing Division.
Returning to Canada saw Doug relocate from Toronto to Belleville and finally Cobourg, where he was successful in becoming Bank Manager for Bank of Montreal, a position he held for 12 years. Prior to retirement Doug was appointed Area Commercial Services Manager at the Peterborough District Office responsible for both these operations as well as those of the Agricultural branch in Campbellford.
Doug remains continually committed to the Cobourg community having served as both the Past Director and Vice President of the Cobourg and District Chamber of Commerce (now Northumberland Central), the Past Director of Junior Achievement in Cobourg and the Past Director and Treasurer of Cobourg Library Foundation Board. An upstanding member of the Rotary Club of Cobourg Doug remains dedicated and compassionate about local organizations, services and initiatives. He currently resides in Cobourg with his wife Patricia, a proud father of two and grandfather of three.
