Instructions for Booking Space
In the Community Service Hub Office

A Hub Booking Calendar has been set up at http://www.northumberlandcfdc.ca/hubcalendar/ to allow agencies to book space in one of the Community Service Hub offices. In order to keep administration and technology costs to a minimum, we will be using a shared Google Calendar that is embedded in the site at the above web site address.

You will need to set up an IGoogle account to access the Calendar. If you don’t have one, you can designate someone to be the “Booking Administrator”. And then the Booking Administrator can sign up for an IGoogle account. It’s simple and it’s free! Just follow these steps:

  1. Go to www.google.com.
  2. Click on Sign In and it will take you to the log-in screen.
  3. Click on create an account and follow the instructions.
  4. Once you have a Google account, send me the email address you use to sign in (I don’t need your password) and I will invite you to the shared calendar.

If you have any problems call me at 905-372-8315 ext. 225 and I’ll help you get set up.

You can of course use a lot of the other features, including your own calendar with the account or just use it to book space on the Hub Booking calendar … that’s up to you!

When you have been given permission to use the shared calendar, you go to this web address – http://www.northumberlandcfdc.ca/hubcalendar/ – and you can book the room(s) you want at the desired location(s) by putting in your agency name, the room location code as outlined below, and the date(s) required. Please book for specific time blocks that you require on that date – for example, 9am-11pm.

As the calendar fills up, you will see what rooms, dates and times are available. You may have to be a bit flexible in the times you can meet clients based on room and time slot availability. If you have a regular time and location, you can book multiple times as well.

PLEASE NOTE: You are responsible for booking your own times, and in fairness to other partners, if you cancel an appointment time for a room you have booked, please go back in to the calendar and remove the “reserve” for that particular room / time slot. We need these records to be accurately kept!

OFFICE CODES:
  • Brighton - BR1 and BR2
  • Port Hope - PH1, PH2, and PH3
  • Alderville - ALD1
  • Colborne - CB1
  • Campbellford - CF1 and CF2* (*CF2 is a larger meeting room – please check with Vicki Clarke 705-653-1821 for availability.)
