Job Readiness Incubator
Working in partnership with the County of Northumberland the emphasis of this program is to introduce those out of the workforce for some time, or in transition to the routine of the ‘new workplace’ and the role technology plays in all jobs in the Global Economy.
What does it do?
The job readiness Incubator provides a flexible, supportive workplace to further assist clients in overcoming some of their identified barriers. In addition, participants are given the opportunity to enhance their skills in the basic computer applications and software that are essential in today’s workplace. In keeping with our ‘client-centered’ approach, each individual is ‘case-managed’ and coached in developing an Action Plan based on their own goals and skills development requirements.
Main Program Goals
- To build confidence and increase self-esteem
- To help individuals re-integrate into the workforce
- Provide an analysis of the individual’s performance/progress throughout the placement
- Emphasis on ‘soft-skills’ such as teamwork and problem solving
- Provide opportunities to enhance existing skills and learn new ones
- Give participants ‘real-work’ experience in a real business environment
