Eastern Ontario will be showcasing it's finest businesses at the 2008 Royal Winter Fair. On October 29th, 2008, the Province of Ontario announced that it will be contributing $90,000 towards the project, of which 15 Community Futures Development Corporations are working collaboratively.
The funds contributed under the Rural Economic Development Program will be used to help support the 3000-square-foot booth in which over 25 exhibitors, 12 wineries, and 4 micro breweries from across Eastern Ontario will be showcasing what our rural communities have to offer.
The Royal Winter Fair, which opens on November 7th and runs through the 16th, draws more than 350,000 people from all over the world. This year, the booth will promote Eastern Ontario under the slogan “Discover the passion.”
